Friendly helpful staff. Good parking.
Some lights in room not working. Smell from basin and shower drain was really bad.

After requesting to change rooms, I was given the best room in the hotel with a panoramic view of the harbour. The big balcony is great. One of the duty managers was able to give me information about restaurants in the area but most of the staff had no clue.
There is no life outside the hotel, no restaurants etc within walking distance. The hotel restaurant is not particularly inviting and room service is extremely expensive. I must also mention that the first impressions of the hotel are not good because the lobby is very uninviting. It is like entering a factory building. This may appeal to some people though.

The hotel has a great location, right next to Umhlanga, the harbor, and local amenities. the personnel are very nice and pleasant, always explaining things well during our stays.

The rooms are very neat, spacious and romantic. We liked having breakfast at the hotel.
Cold flooring - maybe it is winter . Security is not up to scratch. Going through the boom gates is like going to a factory yard. From the parking rigt up to the lifts - very unsafe. Nosecurity check. We struggled with the key everytime we came back from our entourage.

Liked this relaxing and pretty hotel, easy to find. We booked luxurious and large room with aircon and the TV channels and balcony overlooking the harbour. Everywhere there was neat, the staff were caring and top-class people in explaining that. The venue was near to harbor and water and the WODKA restaurant thanks to its ideal and exceptionally nice location: )

I had a great stay at this hotel. the location is perfect - it's in a nice quiet neighborhood and just a short walk to the sea. The view from my room, overlooking a working harbor, was breathtaking. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a queen-sized bed and an aircon to keep me cool. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I also appreciated the attention to detail, with basic amenities provided and a breakfast included in the rate. It was a great value for money experience.
All was good during my stay.

Its proximity to uShaka Marine and beeches is the best thing in its favor.
1. Restaurant has hardly any choice for lunch and dinner specially for an Indian. 2. Newspaper should be delivered every day. 3. A city street map is required in room.

During my recent stay at The Waterfront Hotel & Spa, I had an unforgettable experience. The hotel's beautiful location, right next to the harbor and close to Ushaka, allowed me to enjoy breathtaking views of the ships passing by. The spacious and clean room with a nice and big bed was perfect for a comfortable stay. The hotel staff went above and beyond to meet all of my requests, making me feel welcome and valued as a guest. The delicious breakfast, with a well-balanced offering and the best coffee in town, provided a great start to each day. Although there were a few minor downsides, such as limited TV channels and an occasional issue with the air conditioner, they did not significantly impact my overall enjoyment. I highly recommend The Waterfront Hotel & Spa for an exceptional stay in Durban.

The hotel is ideally situated. I stayed there during my Comrades adventure. Although there was not really time to admire everything, the no frills and fuss decor worked for me. I would and already did recommend your hotel to friends and family.
They offered a shuttle service from the airport at r400! Not competitive and not recommended.

there was a good veiw of the harbour.
it was quite 'cold' in design and feeling. I prefer a cosier hotel. It was also far away from the better restaurants and more vibrant areas.
